Burglaries and Theft of Firearm, Jewelry and Electronics in WCSO Reports

Deputies also assisted the Walton County Fire Rescue with two house fires and EMS with a runaway car injury.

Walton County Sheriff's Deputies were kept busy investigating several burglaries, thefts and other incidents during the period June 20 - 24, 2013. 

Zone 1

  • Burglary – Items were taken from a residence on Pine View Rd. The suspect allegedly had access to the alarm code.
  • Fire Assist – Walton County deputies assisted with a fully involved fire on Adams Way.
  • Burglary Report - A generator and tools were taken from a barn on HD Atha Rd.
  • Damage to Property – A mailbox was damaged on Kraddle Creek Drive.
  • Burglary – A subject entered a mobile home on Cannon Farm Rd. and reportedly stole electronics and other items.
  • Extra Patrol – Extra patrol was requested for vehicles speeding on Alcovy Station Rd.

  • Found Property – Two blank checks were found in a yard on Vine St.

  • Extra Patrol – Extra patrol was requested in reference to vehicles speeding in the area of Mt. Vernon Rd. and Old Athens Hwy.

  • Theft – Complainant on Partain Rd. reported that money was taken from his company. A suspect has been named.
  • Extra Patrol – Extra patrol was requested on Parker Court in reference to loud music coming from a vehicle near Mt. Creek Church Rd.
  • Extra Patrol – A prowler report was made when a subject was observed near the barn at a residence on Daniel Cemetery Rd. Extra patrol was requested.

Zone 5

  • Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm on Providence Club Drive in Providence Club subdivision at the Clubhouse. All windows and doors appeared secure.
  • Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm on Acorn Way in Oakmont subdivision. All windows and doors appeared secure.
  • Burglary – A house was reportedly entered on Oak Ridge Lane. No forced entry was found. Several electronic items were stolen.
  • Prowler – A complainant on Arbor Court heard someone ringing her door bell and knocking on her bedroom window. Two subjects, possibly juveniles, were seen running from the area. No contact was made with the subjects.
  • Burglary – Forced entry was made into a residence on Bay Creek Church Rd. Several items were missing from the residence.
  • Suspicious Person – A complainant called to report a suspicious black male in the area of Brookhaven Drive. The black male was found to be the complainant’s neighbor.
  • Burglary Report – A residence was allegedly burglarized on Camp Lane. Firearms and jewelry were taken from the residence.  Suspects were seen in a silver Jeep, occupied by a white female with dark hair and a white male with brown hair.
  • EMS Assist – A subject attempted to stop his car from rolling down a hill on Cathy Dr. in Loganville and was caught between a tree and his car. His thumb was traumatically amputated from the impact.
  • Extra Patrol – Extra patrol was requested on Orchard Circle in reference to juveniles entering vacant houses.

Zone 6

  • Theft Report – A utility trailer was taken from a residence on Oakland Lane.
  • Fire Assist – Walton County deputies assisted with a fully involved fire at a residence on Hwy. 78 after the mattress caught fire.
  • Theft – Signs were taken from both entrances in Annslee Lake subdivision. A for sale signs located at a residence was also taken.
  • Identity Theft – An identity theft was reported on Rockview Lane. A subject out of Alabama used the complainant’s identity to charge several medical bills.
  • Burglary Report – An unknown person reportedly entered a residence on Hwy 81 and took several pieces of jewelry.
  • Entering Auto – A Chevrolet Malibu was entered on Mill Court. A firearm and a flashlight with the charger were taken from the vehicle.
  • Alarm/Burglary – An alarm sounded on Barrington Manor Drive in Barrington Manor. The residents stated someone possibly entered a window and tripped the alarm.
  • Recovered Vehicle – A Honda CBR motorcycle was taken from a residence on Youth Monroe Rd. The motorcycle was later recovered on Park St. A suspect has been named.
  • Entering Auto – An unlocked vehicle was entered on Harris Drive. DVD’s were taken from the vehicle.
  • Entering Auto – Vehicles were entered on Dove Drive. A computer, a saw and an mp3 player were taken from the vehicles.
  • Trespassing – Subjects were located on Dove Drive in Dove Crossing subdivision trespassing at a pool without the owner’s consent. Subjects were given Criminal Trespass warnings. One of the subjects was arrested for an outstanding warrant.
  • Prowler – A subject alleged someone shined a green laser into a window at a residence on Lafayette Way.
  • Juvenile Problem – Extra patrol was requested in Victoria Park subdivision in reference to juveniles out at night causing disturbances and damage to yards. 

Zone 7

  • Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm on High Grove Rd. in High Grove subdivision. All windows and doors appeared secure.
  • Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm on Brandi Lane. All windows and doors appeared secure.
  • Suspicious Vehicles – Three subjects were arrested for Disorderly Conduct and Underage Drinking on H D Atha Rd. One subject was charged with Obstruction.
  • Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Hwy 81 at Robertson Rd. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance.
