Cool picture. I've seen a lot of great sky shots from that event. I took my GoPro 2 outside and leftRead More it in the rain to record everything but I wouldn't want to sit around and watch it! :-) My sky shots weren't this good!

Sharon and I were hoping you could explain the unique sky color.
Sarah Faircloth June 14, 2013 at 01:36 pm
I think Monroe offers some of Georgias prettiest skies, but I may be a little bias

Wow, that sky last night was such an amazing color. Beautiful shots Ann and Sarah. Does anybody knowRead More exactly why it was that color? Was it because the storm hit almost at sunset?
Sarah Faircloth June 14, 2013 at 03:52 pm
Everytime I have seen it that color was after a large storm at Sunset. When I took this picture itRead More was between 8:30-9:00 pm and the lighting was still "webbing" across the sky

Now, finally having some more free time to write, I like friendly, happy dogs. If I were to chooseRead More or adopt a pet to have around the home, it would be a Lab or dog of that mentality. I had many dogs as pets when I was younger. I enjoyed spending time with them and loving on them, doing the things that responsible dog owners do. When I was in Columbus on the coyote removal job, I stayed in an apartment above some horse stables. There were 4 barn cats that the landowner kept fed on a regular basis. One of those cats was very friendly and everytime I would sit down to put my boots on in the morning, she would jump up in my lap for some loving. I was a total stranger but she still wanted the attention. And I gave her plenty. The other cats wouldn't give me the time of day, which was fine. But as I said, I'm a dog guy. I caught a free roaming dog in one of my coyote traps on the farm the other day. It was very friendly and I was able to remove the trap off of it's foot without using a release pole. I loved on it a while, checked it's foot, which seemed fine and watch it run off back towards it's owner's home several hundred yards away. No damage done.

Tim, you are kind of a jackass, aren't you? In addition to your excessive and unnecessaryRead More capitalization and your incorrect use of apostrophes, your ideas about the operation of animal control organizations and management of domestic animal populations are equally erroneous and are, in fact, pre-21st century. Lots of things are "facts of life" but that doesn't mean that they cannot be addressed in positive and productive ways. And I am fascinated by your statement that domestic animal euth is " needed to prevent the spread of numerous communicable diseases from animal to human." How many such diseases are there, Tim? And say, are you at all familiar with immunizations for pets?
