Donation Account Set Up in Memory of Jacob Little

Funds are being collected to help the family of the 16-year-old Monroe Area High School student who was killed in a hit-and-run accident on Aug. 27.

An account has been established at a local bank to help the family of the Monroe teen killed Aug. 27 in an early morning hit-and-run accident.

Community members wishing to give can visit any Wells Fargo Bank branch and donate to Funds for Jacob Little.  Donations may also be made through the website Justice for Jacob Little.

A Facebook Page has also been created in Jacob's memory, and as of 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 28, it had more than 3,100 likes.

According to the Facebook Page, Monroe Area High students on Wednesday wore blue to honor Jacob.  Area churches also planned to hold vigil at Waffle House on Broad Street on Wednesday evening.

Funeral arrangements have not yet been announced.
