, was arraigned and entered a plea of not guilty in Gwinnett County on Oct. 2, 2012 in connection with charges of fraud and attempted theft by deception in connection with funds allegedly misappropriated from a West Walton Booster Club in 2011.
Gwinnett County Assistant District Attorney Frank Clark said she is now on the calendar to go before Gwinnett Superior Court Judge Michael Clark.
"She entered a plea of not guilty at arraignment, so the case will be placed on the trial calendar in the next few months," the ADA said, adding cases are placed on the trial calendar in order from oldest to newest. "It usually takes about 4-6 months for a case to go from arraignment to trial calendar in our division."
Clark said Dowell is charged with financial transaction card fraud and criminal attempt to commit theft by deception.
Dowell was arrested last year and charged with several counts of credit card fraud connected to funds missing from the club. She was arrested a second time after she allegedly tried to pass herself off a representative of the club in December 2011 in an attempt to obtain $5,000 worth of toys from Toys for Tots.
