Bowman to Begin at Loganville Middle Starting Monday, October 15th

WCPS is now accepting applications for the principal's position at Harmony Elementary.

It's likely to be a few busy weeks for Christy Bowman as she assumes the duties as principal of Loganville Middle while going back and forth to Harmony Elementary as needed until her replacement can be found.

Bowman, who accepted the position as principal of Loganville Middle School last week, has worked in education for 22 years, most of them in Walton County. She was a teacher and assistant principal at LMS and at Walker Park Elementary before moving to Harmony (while it was still Blaine Street Elementary) to serve as principal there.

Kim Embry, a spokesperson for Walton County Public Schools, estimates that it will probably "be a couple of weeks" before a new principal can be found for Harmony Elementary School.
