The Friday Rant! Vent Your Displeasures Here...

Vent your displeasures here

Alrighty folks, Let 'er rip! Fill up the comment section below with your troubles.

Just keep it clean and no name calling, business or personal.

My rant this week is about football commissioner Roger Goodell. You say that you want to keep the game safe, and free from the worst injuries if possbile, but after former commissioner Tagliabue basically stated that you were wrong in the Saints bounty case you let your feelings step in and now want to discuss lengthening the regular season and the playoffs.

Up front it doesn't seem that would unsafe, but subjecting the NFL players to more games means more contact and more chances of injury. Obviously you haven't completely thought this one through.

Vent away people!

Why does your right to own a gun outweigh my right to live in peace..

The NFL cares only about increasing revenues. Don't look for them to lead on safety issues. The demise of football as the most popular sport in U.S. will begin with parents who refuse to allow their kids to risk permanent brain damage playing a sport. From what I hear from parents with young children, it's already begun.

Yeah it's always been about money. When has it never not been about money. I just find it funny that he tries to mask it as "safety." The NFL has paid out more than 220 million in lawsuits from past players on-going issues related to football.

Because if I did not have a gun I might not live in piece.

OK ,I have my flame suit on.Why do so many people live & breathe sports. It,s nothing like it use to be.In fact when they thaw him out Ted Williams won,t know what happened to baseball Instead of players lovin the game and just making a decent income. You know have these spoiled rich people playing a kids game. Some of them on drugs and far from being role models. And rich oweners who want to get richer. Now I understand this is not ALL of them .Now consider this you people who really like sports are getting ripped off.An average family can,t help but miss the$$$ It costs to see a game. Now let me tell you why I care and am pissed off. True I don,t spend my money on this and you are free to spend yours how you choose I know when I buy something its rolled into the price somewhere So the CEO,s sitting in the good seats are laughing up ther azz knowing they are passing the cost on to us

Not sure why, but my vents are always about driving (probably because I stay on th road). Those left hand turners in my thru way lane, and now....
Those idiots who can't talk on the phone and drive at the same tie. If the speed limit is 45, and I'm on the phone, guess what? i'm still going 45. I'm a multitasker extrodinaire. BUT...there are those that slow down to about 25 (even a crawl) and sometimes in an intersection!!!! Yeah! that was me that made the phone gestures with my hand, had my mouth wide open mouthing the words, "get off the phone", and pointed my finger at you. Hang up the phone or get off the road. I feel so much better now....until I get behind the idiot again.

Upset about the move to Ipads and Ebooks in DeKalb Public Schools without any proven educational benefit. In light of the school shootings and the possible relationship to access to violent video games, online bullies, online pedophiles, the reports about Iphone thieves becoming more brazen in Atlanta, the expense this transition will mean to the taxpayers and the fact that we had to let school house employees go and lose instructional days in order to keep teachers in classrooms this year, this school system should not be trying to carve out a new path in education reform ... we can't get anything right! When you are coming in near last in every ranking poll out there in a state that is coming in close to last as well, maybe you should try copying the best practices of others rather than thinking that this time you have the solution to your own failure. UGH!

Completely understand. There are people and situations that are emotionally draining that I don't like to deal with either. Totally agree
Brian Crowe December 19, 2012 at 01:09 am
I will add to the driving complaints because of the near-accident I had today:
People who thinks it's ok to come to a complete stop in moving traffic because they have to change lanes. Similar are the ones who go twenty miles under the speed limit because they are looking for their turn. Guess what people? The road ahead doesn't tumble off the edge of the earth. You can always turn around if you miss your turn.
