Walton County Crime Report: Masked Individual Knocks on Door, Burglar Enters Home Through Window and More

This report is compiled from the Walton County Sheriff Office alerts for Sept. 20-23, 2013.

Zone 1

• Suspicious Person – A resident on Jersey Social Circle Rd. reported that a subject in a mask knocked on their door and ran. Walton County deputies had negative contact with any suspicious subjects.

• Recovered Vehicle – A landscaping truck was found along the side of HD Atha Rd. All the power equipment was taken off the back of the truck. The vehicle was reported stolen out of Rockdale County.

• Firearms – A subject was reportedly discharging a firearm in St. Regis subdivision.

• Theft – A subject, on Boxwood St., reported a theft, but was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

• Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at a residence on Windfield Place in Windfield subdivision. All windows and doors appeared secure.

• Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at a residence on Heritage Lane in Providence Club subdivision. All windows and doors appeared secure.

• Arrest – Two subjects were arrested on Bay Creek Church Rd.; the male was arrested for an outstanding warrant and the female was arrested for Obstruction/Disorderly Conduct for hiding the male subject from Walton County deputies.

• Extra Patrol – Extra patrol was requested on Morgan’s Landing for copper theft attempts.

• Burglary Report – A subject entered a residence on Logan’s Run in Logan’s Run subdivision through a window. Several items were taken from the home. A suspect has been named.

• Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at a residence on Oak Court in Twin Oaks subdivision. The alarm was accidentally set off by the homeowner.

• Burglary Report – A subject, who was babysitting at a home on Rabbit Farm Rd., reportedly stole the homeowner’s checkbook, debit card, driver’s license and has since used them at local businesses around the area.

• Extra Patrol – Extra patrol was requested on Greens Mill Way in Greens Mill subdivision in reference to a vehicle with loud pipes.

• Extra Patrol – A dark colored Toyota was seen sitting at a bus stop on Rockview Lane in Centerhill Station. Extra patrol requested.

• Theft Report – A tolling motor was taken from a residence on Holly Ridge Drive. A suspect has been identified.

• Extra Patrol – Extra patrol was requested at the Walnut Grove Precinct Fire Station in reference to fuel being stolen from firefighters personal vehicles.

• Agency Assist – Walton County deputies assisted the Georgia State Patrol during a chase on Monroe Jersey Rd. / P.J. East Rd. The driver was not located but the passenger was arrested for outstanding warrants.

• Burglary Report – A safe and other items were taken from a residence on Hillview Drive while the owner was out of town.

• Suspicious Vehicle – A subject was parked along the roadway of Monticello Drive in Jefferson Plantation, reportedly acting suspicious.
