Victim in Monroe Shooting Dies

Monroe Police Department confirm that the victim of a shooting on Saturday night died as a result of his injuries.

An overnight shooting in Monroe resulted in the death of a Monroe man.

According to Monroe Police Department Asst. Chief R.V. Watts, Ray Murphy was shot in Monroe on Saturday night in an incident that took place on Reed Street in Monroe. He was transported to Walton Regional Medical Center but passed away as a result of his injuries.

I have been looking out for it Linda. It is possible there is a delay because it is a murder investigation, but I will let everybody know when I find out anything. Sorry for you loss too. I can't imagine losing a child.

yeah im still grieving myself.. its really put a hold on me and my life... her husband killed her as well. he overdosed her with pain killers... last april 22nd....

As of right now it's JC Harwell & Son Funeral Home in Covington. The memorial service will be either Thursday from 7-9 pm or Friday from 7-9 pm not definite which day yet.
