Victim Identified in Saturday's Wreck on Ho Hum Hollow Road

A single car wreck on Ho Hum Hollow Road in Monroe on Saturday evening resulted in a 29-year-old Monroe woman being lifeflighted to an area hospital.

A spokesman with Georgia State Patrol confirmed that Jennifer Ford, 29, of Monroe, was airlifted to Gwinnett Medical following a single vehicle wreck on Ho Hum Hollow Road in Monroe at about 6:20 p.m. on Saturday.

The wreck involved a Ford Expedition that hit a tree. Ford was the only person injured. According to GSP, it took about an hour to extricate her from the vehicle. She was then transported by helicopter to Gwinnett Medical Center.

This is the second serious accident on Ho Hum Hollow Road in less than a month. Three people were injured at the intersection of Ho Hum Hollow and Youth Monroe Road on Oct. 31.

This intersection needs something put up! There have been several wrecks at this site and this should be telling the city something!.... Levi Cole is still in the hospital after the wreck he was involved in just a few short weeks ago! This is crazy! When will the city do something???? Thoughts and prayers still going up for the Cole family and now for this 29 year old young lady.......

This would be a county thing. Not in the city limits. Regardless, something needs to be done. Or people should slow down. Getting where you want to be sooner does not make any difference if you end up in an accident. Prayers to Jennifer and her family and also the Cole family.

The city shouldn't have to do anything. People need to realize that while driving you are holding 12 inches (roughly) of death. It's called paying attention and being defensive/cautious. Drivers today are like the little boy that plays with daddy's gun and we all know where that goes. Thoughts and prayers to the family and the victims.

I totally agree Franklin. Just pointing out it's not in a city limits. And yes, the "Something" should be "Drive CAREFULLY". I live off Cown Road and we have one bad curve on it that people like to drive fast around and are ALWAYS in the wrong lane doing it and you cannot see the oncoming car until you are around it. I have had to slam on my brakes and dead stop sometime because of those idiots that have no regard for their lives or others. Slow down for curves before you get to them.

At Franklin Fritts, that's just rude and hateful have some respect for the families of these victims!

I am sorry Tiffany. I meant no disrespect to those injured. I prayed for both the Coles and Fords and also for God to be with all that travel all the areas that are unavoidedly dangerous.
