Two Pit Bulls Dead, One Taken In By Animal Control After Monroe Attack

WCSO report that a child and his dog walking on Navaho Trail in Deer Creek, Monroe, were attacked by two pit bulls.

According to Walton County Sheriff's Office, a child was walking his dog on Navaho Trail in Deer Creek, Monroe, last week when they were attacked by two pit bulls that were loose.

"The child was not hurt but the dog was," said Lt. Kirk McLeroy of the WCSO. "The dogs (pit bulls) were chased and one was hit by a car. The second one was shot by an officer."

McLeroy said both the adult pit bulls died and a third one, a puppy, was removed from the home by Walton County Animal Control.
