Suspicious Person Knocks on Residential Door, Flees Deputies

The incident was one of many that kept Walton County Sheriff's officials busy in recent days.

The Walton County Sheriff’s Office responded to the following incidents between April 23-28, 2013:

Zone 1
Suspicious Person – A black subject with “dreadlocks” was seen leaving a property on Turner Ridge Drive. The subject was driving a Toyota pickup truck.
 
Zone 2
Suspicious Person – A suspicious person knocked on the door to a residence on County Line Rd. requesting help with a broken down vehicle. Deputies made contact with the subject. The driver was arrested, after attempting to flee, for an outstanding warrant.
 
Zone 3
Theft – A compressor was taken from a residence on Harry Arnold Rd. A white male driving a 4-door Dodge pickup is suspected of taking the compressor.
 
Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm on Crystal Brook Way in Crystal Brook subdivision. All windows and doors appeared secure.
 
Zone 4
Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm on Spring Hill Court in Apalachee Falls subdivision. All windows and doors appeared secure.
 
Extra Patrol – Extra patrol was requested on Glass Rd. in reference to reckless ATV’s in the roadway. The subjects were issued warnings by deputies.
 
Zone 5
Extra Patrol – Extra patrol was requested on Grady Smith Rd. in reference to reckless and speeding vehicles in the area.
 
Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm on Deep Wood Drive in Deep Wood Farms subdivision. All windows and doors appeared secure.
 
Burglary Attempt – An unknown person(s) attempted to force open a door at a residence on Lee Peters Rd.
 
Zone 6
Extra Patrol – Extra patrol was requested on Milton Bryan Drive in reference to reckless and speeding vehicles.
 
Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm on Holly Ridge Drive in Cevera Lakes. All windows and doors appeared secure.
 
Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm on Harris Court in Harrison Mill subdivision. All windows and doors appeared secure.
 
Damage – The front and back doors of a residence were damaged on a mobile home in Jackson Mobile Home Park.
 
Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Centerhill Church Rd. at Hwy 20. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance.
 
Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Gum Creek Church Rd. at Hwy 81. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance.
 
Zone 7
Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm on Habersham Circle in Broken Arrow subdivision. All windows and doors appeared secure.
 
Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm on Maes Overlook in Henderson Ridge subdivision. All windows and doors appeared secure.
 
Burglary Report – The garage at a vacant residence on Hillview Drive was burglarized. A vehicle parts and air compressor were taken from the residence.
 
Trespassing – A front door was kicked in at a residence on Old Hwy 138.
