Motorcylist Injured in Wreck with Deer in Walton County

Walton County Sheriff's Office responded to a motorcycle wreck with a deer, as well as several burglary calls between Sept. 13 and 17.

Walton County Sheriff's deputies, and members of Georgia State Patrol, responded to a motorcycle wreck on Lipscomb Road in Walton County at about 11:15 p.m. on was Thursday, Sept. 13.  

"Barry Parks McIntosh, age 47, from Oxford, was traveling west on Lipscomb Road when he struck a deer that had entered his lane of travel," a spokesperson for GSP reported. He  said McIntosh was taken to Clearview Regional Medical Center for treatment. No charges were filed.

In addition, the following theft and burglary reports were handled by the Walton County Sheriff’s Office in the Monroe area between Sept. 14 to 17.

Zone 5  

  • Burglary – A residence was reportedly burglarized on Highlands Blvd. Game consoles and computer equipment was taken from the property.
  • Burglary – A barn on New Hope Church Road was broken into tools were stolen.
  • Burglary – A residence on Maple Creek Ave. was entered and assorted electronics were taken.
  • Burglary – A residence on Maple Creek Ave. was entered and cash was taken.
