Monroe Man Faces Charges in Motorcycle Fatality

George Latimore, 54, of Monroe died in a motorcycle accident on Saturday afternoon. Georgia State Patrol said charges are pending against a 23-year-old Monroe man involved in the collision.

George Latimore, 54, died at Grady Hospital in Atlanta on Saturday afternoon after a motorcycle wreck on Youth Monroe Road, south of Loganville. A spokesman with Georgia State Patrol said the driver of the other vehicle involved in the collission, Nicholas Seth Clark, 23, also of Monroe, will face charges in connection with the accident.

According to the GSP, Latimore was traveling west on Youth Monroe Road on his motorcycle and a Hyundai Elantra, driven by Clark, was eastbound. Clark was stopped, preparing to make a left turn into a driveway, and turned in front of the motorcycle. The motorcycle hit the car in the right rear fender.

The investigation has been turned over to the Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team and charges are pending, GSP reports.
