Man Missing from Athens Friday, Last Cell Phone Activity in Gwinnett

Oconee County Sheriff's Office put out a Missing Alert for Quinton Ayers - last seen in Athens on Friday. The last cell phone activity was traced to a location in Gwinnett County, near the airport.

The following missing person alert was put out by the Oconee County Sheriff's Office at 1:12 p.m. on Labor Day.

Missing Person: Quinton Ayers (4 photos)
Quinton Ayers is missing. His last known location was in Athens around 1:00AM on Friday. We have information that he may have left Athens in route to Adairsville, but he never arrived there. His last known cell phone activity was traced to a location in Gwinnett County near the airport. Quinton is described as 6'2" and approximately 250 pounds with crewcut hair and a "shadow" beard. He was last seen wearing a neon yellow t-shirt, black shorts and flip flops. He drives a black 1999 GMC Sierra Z-71 truck (GA tag 889YRL). This case is spanning over multiple counties, and Investigator Stauffacher will make sure any information gets to the appropriate places.
