Catalytic Converters; Mercury Marquis Reported Stolen in Walton County Theft and Burglaries

The following thefts and burglaries were reported in and around the Monroe area of Walton County during the period Dec. 7 - 13.

Walton County Sheriff's deputies responded to the following theft and burglary compaints in and around the Monroe area during the period Dec. 7 - 13, 2012.

Zone 1

  • Suspicious Person – A white male was observed driving a silver Saturn around the Texaco in Jersey possibly attempting to take propane from the storage area.

  • Theft – Catalytic converters were stolen from two large passenger vans at a business on Leroy Anderson Road.

Zone 4

  • A 1990 white Mercury Marquis was reported stolen from a residence at Mt Creek Mobile Home Park. A suspect was named.

  • Entering Auto – An unknown person entered into an unlocked van on Bullock Bridge Road. Several items were stolen.
  • Burglary – A residence was reportedly burglarized on Piney Grove Road. electronics were taken during the burglary.

Agency Assist 

Walton County deputies assisted Monroe Police Department with a look out for a stolen vehicle. Deputies located the vehicle on Hwy 138 toward Conyers. Suspects fled the vehicle on foot. One subject was arrested.
