WCSO to Host National Night Out in Walton County

This participation is part of Walton County's fight against crime.

This year, for the first time Walton County Sheriff's Office is hosting an event for the National Night Out program.

From 4 – 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 6, the community is invited to join the WCSO at Meridian Park in Loganville for a “free, fun and entertaining night" – and it includes food! There also will be entertainment, giveaways, access to community resources and information on Neighborhood Watch programs in the county.

National Night Out is a nationwide event designed to build strong community partnerships that promote safe neighborhoods. Aug 6, 2013 is the 30th Anniversary of the event.

The NNO Facebook page is promoting a photo contest to show how your event transforms the location at which it is held. Any interested photographers can take a photo of Meridian Park in Loganville prior to the event, and then a photo of what it looks like during WCSOs NNO. Get the information on the photo contest here.
