Walton Chamber Names Late Judge Greg Adams Public Servant of the Year

At the Walton County Chamber of Commerce's 65th Annual General Meeting on Jan. 24, 2013, the late Judge Greg Adams was named Public Servant of the Year by the Chamber.

At the Walton County Chamber of Commerce 65th Annual General Meeting in the Engine Room of Engine Room at Monroe Cotton Mill on Jan. 24, the late Judge Greg Adams was named Public Servant of the Year. Adams served Walton County for 32 years. He died a week short of his retirement date on Dec. 26, 2012. His wife, Judy, accepted Adam's award on his behalf.

Other award winners included:

  • Terri Bianchini - Ambassador of the Year
  • Social Circle Ace Home Center - Member of the year
  • Morris Jordan - J.L. McGarity Award

A total of 310 people crowded into the Engine Room at Monroe Cotton Mills for the occasion. Displays by the Walton County cities of Monroe, Loganville, Social Circle and Good Hope were available for guests to browse as well as displays by Clearview Regional Medical Center, Stanton, Baxter, Caterpillar and the Georgia Economic Development Authority. The Athens Technical College Culinary School prepared a dessert that was served to attendees.
