Thefts, Burglaries and Fleeing Suspect Kept WCSO Busy Last Week

Walton County Sheriff's deputies also responded to several juvenile complaints, including underage drinking, drug paraphernalia located and trespassing.

The Walton County Sheriff's Office responded to the following incidents during the period June 12 to 16, 2013. 

Zone 1

  • Theft Report – The chain on an outdoor storage building, located on Michael Etchison Circle, was cut. Several tools were taken from the building.
  • Theft Attempt – A white female subject went into a storage trailer and when she was approached by the owner, she took off in a dark green four-passenger Toyota.
  • Suspicious Person – A white male was reportedly asleep in a driveway on Wapakoneta Trail. The subject was arrested for outstanding warrants.

  • Disturbing the Peace – A complaint was made on Brentwood Blvd. in Brentwood subdivision reference to loud sounds coming from a party in the area.
  • Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to a vacant residence on Clearwater Way in reference to an alarm. A door had been blown open by the wind. All windows and doors were secured.
  • Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Snows Mill Rd. @ Jacks Creek Rd. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance.

Zone 4

  • Underage Drinking – Several subjects, including a juvenile, were found at a location on Macedonia Church Rd. drinking alcohol. All subjects were charged with Possession of Alcohol by a minor and the subject over the age of 21 was arrested for Furnishing Alcohol to a minor.
  • Theft – An A/C unit was taken from a residence on Shoal Creek Rd.

  • Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm on Parkview Court in Providence Club.
  • Juvenile Complaint – Drug paraphernalia was found inside a vehicle occupied by a juvenile on Summit Court. The subject was transported to the Walton County Jail.
  • Extra Patrol – Extra patrol was requested on Shepherds Lane in Shepherds Crossing in reference to windows being broken during day and night time hours.
  • Vehicle Accident – A vehicle accident occurred on Highlands Blvd. in the Highlands.
  • Trespassing – Juveniles were reportedly trespassing at the pools in Richmond Place subdivision. The subjects were gone when Walton County deputies arrived.
  • Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm on Plantation Ridge Court in Plantation Ridge. All windows and doors appeared secure.

Zone 6

  • Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Miller Bottom Rd. @ Flagstone Way. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance.
  • Suspicious Vehicle – Subjects were arrested on Ashton Walk in the Falls at Rocky Branch for drug-related charges
  • Suspicious Vehicle – A white male driving a black Ford Explorer was seen in the past exposing himself on Ashton Walk in the Falls at Rocky Branch. Contact was made with the vehicle, but it was only occupied by white female occupants.
  • Trespassing – Loud music was heard coming from the Rock Quarry in Annslee Lakes. No one was found on location. The music was from a party in the area.
  • Information Report – Locks were damaged on a door at a residence on Shepherds Lane in Shepherd Field subdivision.
  • Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Centerhill Church Rd. @ Waterport on Hwy 138. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance. 

Zone 7

  • Dispute – A dispute at a mobile home on Cannon Farm Rd. resulted in a foot chase between Walton County deputies and a subject in the home with outstanding warrants. The subject was apprehended and transported to the Walton County Jail.
  • Suspicious Vehicle – A red SUV was seen pulling into a parking lot on Hwy 138 at Tolleson Auto Sales. The vehicle sped off when employees turned outside lights on and stepped outside.
  • Underage Consumption – A subject was cited for underage consumption after he was found intoxicated and walking on the right of way of Hwy 138 and Cannon Farm Rd. en route to Oxford.
  • Burglary Report – Unknown persons entered a vacant residence on Hwy 138. Nothing appeared missing from the residence.
