Car Crashes Through Front of Home - Dacula Patch

A home on Vista Creek Drive in the Hamilton Mill subdivision of Dacula was damaged after being struck by a car shortly after midnight on Dec. 15.

According to Sgt. Brian Doan of the Gwinnett County Police Department, the vehicle struck a non-load-bearing wall. Doan confirmed the driver of the vehicle was arrested, but did not have information regarding the charges.

Man Says He Went 'Ape Mode' When He Saw Burglar - Decatur Patch

David Kennerly said he's not an aggressive guy.

But when he woke up in the middle of the night Dec. 3 and found a burglar in the living roomstealing the flat-screen television, "I flipped out," Kennerly said. "I went ape mode."

The 40-year-old Turner employee, wearing only pajama bottoms, did exactly what law enforcement officers don't recommend. He confronted the man, screeching and grabbing him by the shoulders.

Student Accused of Groping Classmate on School Bus - Fort Stewart Patch

Hinesville police responded Dec. 3 to a reported sexual assault on a school bus.

Police officers responded to a call from a home on Bacon Road. The complainant told police that her daughter had been sexually assaulted on her school bus by a male student. According to the mother, the male student had repeatedly groped her daughter each day on the bus.

Trial Date Set for Cumming Suspect in Lake Lanier Boating Deaths - Cumming Patch

The Cumming man who has been indicted in Hall County in connection with the boating deaths of two Gwinnett youths at Lake Lanier has a scheduled trial date.

Paul Bennett, a Cumming resident, is scheduled to face trial May 20, 2013. Also, the next motions hearing reportedly is set for Jan. 31, according to Hall County District Attorney Lee Darragh.

Cobb Schools Employee Faces Child Porn Charges - Northeast Cobb Patch

A longtime employee of the Cobb County School District has been arrested on charges that he produced and received child pornography.

According to multiple reports, Stanley Keith Johnson, a transportation field coordinator with the school district, was charged by federal officials on Tuesday.
