Local Knights of Columbus Council in Monroe, GA Receives International Recognition

The announcement was made by the Knights of Columbus International headquarters located in New Haven, Connecticut by Carl A. Anderson, Supreme Knight who presenting the engraved plaque to the council. At a meeting held on February 10th, Mr. Jerry Hobbs, was presented the awards listed below. Mr. Jerry Hobbs, is the past Grand Knight and leader of St. Anna’s Knight of Columbus Council #14425 in Monroe, GA.  Through his leadership he set high standards of excellence for the council to achieve and promoted the ideals of Columbianism for the good of the church, the community and order and is being recognized for his accomplishments.

The Columbian Award – Knights of Columbus Council #14425 is a Columbian Award winner for the 2012-2013 fraternal years.  The award is presented for excellence in the sponsorship of programs that serve the church, community, families, pro-life and youth, as well as council members.

The Founders Award – presented for outstanding promotion of the organization’s insurance program for the period 2012- 2013.
