Loganville City Manager Bill Jones confirmed that plans are in for a TJ Maxx store in Loganville.
"I think we can look for a spring 2013 opening," Jones said. "This joins the Colonial Buick dealership that will be going in across the road at Faith Crossing."
Residents learned in April that the in the North Logan Commons Center was one of the 50 stores closing across the United States. It was one of two that closed in Georgia. By the end of May the store was empty and the doors closed for good.
Although Lowe's, PetSmart, OfficeMax and Dicks Sporting Goods are still anchor stores in the center, Best Buy was one of the key anchors. A clothing store, such as TJ Maxx, was one of the suggestions from residents looking for a replacement for the Best Buy.
