The Antique Malls In Monroe Are Preparing For The Holidays. First Open House This Saturday, Nov. 10

Monroe Antique Malls Kick Off The Holiday Season This Month With Open House Celebrations

The antique malls in downtown Monroe are ready for the holidays. Celebrate with open houses, refreshments, live music, and special sales throughout November and December. It all begins this Saturday, Nov. 10, at Hodge Podge Art, Antiques, and Interiors.

Downtown Monroe, Georgia, with all its charm, has become a destination for antique buyers, both collectors and other antique dealers, who find the selection and prices offered in the Monroe malls hard to beat. A recent article in Jezebel Magazine, by One Kings Lane curator Heather Roberts, featured two of Monroe's antique malls, Davis Street Antiques and Ian Henderson's Antique Mall, as  favorite places to shop. (Also posted online, link here, then go to the bottom of the page and view the article). Monroe has become a mecca for antique buffs who drive long distances to spend the day enjoying lunch in the quaint downtown area and shopping until they have filled their van with treasures.

With the Christmas season approaching many of the antique malls are planning holiday open houses where refreshments, live music, drawings, and sales are the fare. Fairylands with tinsel trees, candy canes, and Christmas decorations for the home are already in place in many shops.
