UPDATE: Starting next month, Florida Georgia Line will join country superstar Taylor Swift on some of her tour dates according to Nashville Gab. Those dates are reported to include:
- March 27, 28, 29 in Newark, New Jersey
- May 7, Columbus, Ohio
- May 21, Austin, Texas
- May 22, San Antonio, Texas
- May 25, Dallas, Texas
- August 1, Des Moines, Iowa
- August 2 & 3, Kansas City, Missouri
If 2012 was a big year for Florida Georgia Line, 2013 is shaping up to be even bigger. When the nominations for the 2013 ACM Awards were announced recently, the country duo, featuring Bryan Kelley of Florida and Monroe, Ga.’s own Tyler Hubbard, had received three of them.
According to The Examiner, Florida Georgia Line has been nominated for Vocal Duo of the Year alongside Lady Antebellum, Zac Brown Band, The Band Perry, Eli Young Band and Little Big Town. The band has also been nominated for New Vocal Duo or Group of the Year as well as New Artist of the Year. Not bad for a couple of small town guys who have only been playing together for three years.
The duo’s first big hit, "Cruise" made it to No. 1 on the Billboard Charts in December 2012 and their second single, "Get Your Shine On," is currently at No. 20. The video for "Get Your Shine On," filmed in Cancun, Mexico, was released just this week.
Fans can cast their vote for Florida Georgia Line between March 25 and April 7 at VoteACM.com. Winners of the ACM Awards will be announced on April 7, 2013 during a broadcast on CBS beginning at 8 p.m. eastern. The show will be filmed live at the MGM Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
