Wind Chill Below Freezing Predicted for Monroe Monday

The National Weather Service predicts temperatures of 40 degrees Monday morning, dropping to below freezing when the wind chill is factored in.

Bundle up students before sending them to the bus stop Monday - old man winter is stirring.

Weather.com reports that the National Weather Service is predicting that in Monroe the temperature will drop to 40 degrees by 7 a.m. When the wind chill is factored in, that drops below freezing and as low as 31 degrees by 7 a.m.

Walton County students will be returning to school after last week's fall break so it will certainly be a lot colder than it was when they last had to wait for the school bus. Although it is predicted to be sunny during the day, the temperature is still not expected to break 57 for a high all day.
