Community Corner

This Week at First Presbyterian Church of Monroe

In spite of dire predictions of rain last Saturday we enjoyed dry skies and a wonderful turnout at FPC’s annual yard sale, for which we were thankful!

At worship this Sunday (6 April) at 11 AM our Chancel Choir will present two anthems.  Pastor Rogers' sermon, "Test Me in This", will be based on Malachi 3.6-12.  It being the first Sunday of the month, we will celebrate the Sacrament of Communion.  (Note that we practice “open communion”.  All who know Jesus as Savior are invited to partake.)

Our monthly Service of Wholeness follows worship.  Per James 5, elders will anoint with oil, pray over, and lay hands on those who request healing.

This coming Tuesday the Pastor’s Bible Study will not meet.  We’ll resume our study of Malachi at 10 AM on 8 April.

Please join us at any and all of our events! We’re a friendly bunch who are deeply in love with Jesus.  You’ll find us at the corner of Breedlove and McDaniel. Additional information is available at www.fpcmonroe.com.
