The new hearing center specializes in diagnostic hearing evaluations, hear aid sales and services, diagnostics and treating for vertigo as well as hearing conservation.
Hearing Improvement Center of Monroe, LLC opened its doors on May 1, 2013. It had a Ribbon Cutting ceremony hosted by the Walton County Chamber of Commerce on May 15, 2013 and the center is planning a Grand Opening celebration on Saturday, May 18. “Festivities begin at noon and include a free Robison’s barbecue sandwich for the first 50 guests,” said Dr. Kerry Cohen, owner of the Center. Cohen is an audiologist who specializes in diagnostic hearing evaluations, hearing aid sales and service, diagnostics and treatment for vertigo and hearing conservation. The nation's leading small-business advocacy association says confidence was up in April after a decline in March, and that the roller coaster ride continues.
The National Federation for Independent Business says small business owners were more optimistic about economic conditions in April, but "pessimism abounds" in a sector that is showing little growth. In a press release posted on its website Tuesday, the trade group says the roller coaster ride for small business owners continues, and more of those surveyed in April’s Index of Small Business Optimism (download the complete report here: www.nfib.com/sbetindex) expect business conditions to be worse in six months than those who think they will be better. So, if John’s monthly benefit is $2000, and Mary’s were $800, Mary would receive $1000 per month. When John passes away, Mary’s benefit would become $2000 (or its then equivalent). In a similar vein, suppose Mary had worked for a municipality, college or other entity where she did not pay Social Security taxes and her monthly pension benefit is now $600.
