Walton County Probate Judge Greg Adams Dies
Judge Adams served Walton County 32 years before retiring.
Patch has confirmed a report by the Walton Tribune states that 68-year old Judge H. Greg Adams, Probate Judge for Walton County, passed away sometime after midnight.
Judge Adams grew up in Monroe and according to long-time friend Gene Kelly, he played football at Jacksonville State in Jacksonville, Alabama. He and other football players were in an automobile accident when he was a sophomore and "Greg's neck was broken, resulting in his being confined to a wheel chair and with only slight use of his arms."
Judge Adams retired after 32 years service to Walton County, not seeking re-election during this last election cycle. Former Chief Deputy Bruce Wright was sworn in last week as Adams' successor.
