Car Fire on Double Springs Church Road in Monroe
City of Monroe Fire and Walton County Fire Rescue extinguished blaze. No injuries reported.
The City of Monroe Fire Department responded with Walton County Fire Rescue to a car fire on Double Springs Church Road on Friday morning. Double Spring Church Road was closed for a short time while the fire was extinguished and the roadway cleared.
"Everyone should have a fire extinguisher in their vehicle", said Lt. Bill Owens of the City of Monroe Fire Department. "It's unknown if an extinguisher would have helped in this incident, but they are nice to have when you need them."
The fire was quickly extinguished after fire crews arrived on scene. No one was hurt during the fire.
